Gwen Whitaker kindly gave me permission to post this paper of hers. Again, my goals for your conscious and visual perception of the experience of going to a new museum and my expectations for your finding a piece you want to write about then how to go about doing it are fully met here. Thanks to Gwen for her generosity.

Here is an example of a paper that can serve as a model for your own efforts as you work on putting into words your own thoughts on the piece you want to write about. . I wrote to Karen, "You hit all of the right elements in your paper! You set the mood of the gallery and described its spaces... your told me about Hopper and did research on his background and how this painting came to be. Finally you described your own personal appreciation and perception of Rooms by the Sea." The word count is 876. -JN
